#LearningFirst Sheffield 5th Nov 2016 Julie Lilly, 11 October 20168 November 2016 This is the second #LearningFirst conference to held at Sheffield Hallam University’s impressive Charles Street Building. During this conference we want to consider how to take principled assessment to scale. To do that we need to work with others in the system. So, in Sheffield you will hear from lots of those people ‘in the system’, who want to help us achieve our aims. You will also be able to select from a number of workshops, in which practitioners will share their stories, and point to the people that they have used to support their journeys. You will also have a chance to meet other people from your area of the county. So that you know where the #LearningFirst folk are, and so that you can start to build networks with them, if that is what you want to do. You will be able to register for the conference and sign up for your workshop from 9.15 am. The day will start at 10.15 am sharp, in the Lecture Theatre, and end there at 4.00pm. Got the feeling that this is going to be quite a day!! We want colleagues to leave that great building, with their passion ignited and the confidence and reassurance needed to take those next steps towards principled assessment practice that builds the expertise, and the confidence of children and teachers. Agency for all!
